ACCREDITATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

LABORATORY ACCREDITATIONS

We continually strive to seek and maintain all appropriate accreditations and certifications to assure our clients that Asbestos TEM Laboratories is exemplary when compared to the highest industry standards.

For asbestos testing, we are accredited by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for the performance of Airborne Asbestos Analysis by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Asbestos Fiber Analysis by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM). Asbestos TEM Laboratories is certified by the California Dept. of Health Services Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) for asbestos in drinking water, wastewater, and hazardous waste, as well as bulk sample analysis. Asbestos TEM Laboratories is involved in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) phase contrast microscopy Asbestos Analyst Registry (AAR) program.

For Lead or other chemical testing, The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELLAP) accredit our Chemistry Department. Analytes approved, with continual maintenance of proficiency by Environmental Lead proficiency Analytical Testing (ELPAT), include the analysis of air, paint, soil, and dust (wipe) samples. We are also State of California DOHS certified for analysis of lead in hazardous waste by TCLP, STLC/TTLC extraction. Our CA DOHS Certification approves Asbestos TEM Laboratories for the analysis for metals of drinking water.
